Solar car races

Hi and welcome.

Of all the solar car races world wide, the most famous is of course the one on the Australian continent.This race is held every year,and starts octobre 29th. So, the solar competition 2009 is already long gone..We'll have to wait what 2010 will bring , and then we let you know..

The teams that are entering to a race are mostly school teams, and the solar car is in fact an very expensive, but also very exciting project.

Most of the solar races of 2009 have their own web site, and we pas them on, so you can see what kind of solar competitions there are, in case you and your school want to subscribe for the year 2010 or even 2011.

Why 2011? Because a project like this is not happening in one,two,three. No, it takes time, and the solar car must be assembled and be tested savely.

So, true it's a long term project, but again, an extremely exciting one, from start to finish.

There are a lot different races: Long races as the Global Green challenge from Australia.

Or sprint races with solar cars..Or sun races to drive as far as you can in one ride.. As you see, there's a lot of variations in this kind of competition
