Recycling tips!

Hi and welcome to the "Recycling tips" page.

Before we go to the tips I wish to say a word about what is Recycling first!

Let's say that it is one thing we all can do to improve our environment, and also our contribution to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

Before recycling became popular, all garbage, waste was burial or burnt. Both manners are very polluting for our environment .

Nowadays there's still a part that shall be burned, because there's always a rest after recycling all the other materials.

Not everything can be recycled. When in the past we had 5 bags garbage, Now today we have one and the rest is been recycled. Now, the good news is that governments have been taken measures. Many countries in Europe, and Northern America already have allready invested in a good recycling policy, like the seperate collecting of garbage. But,there are still big garbage burning facilities, simply because there's no other solution.

True, the burning facilities are now less polluting then 20 years ( by filter systems) ago, but anyway, still producing co2 emissions.

Conclusion....

With recycling the garbage by separate collecting ,we reduce the amount of rest waste by 25 to 30%. Also, the same time we reducing co2 emissions and so we are are helping to preserve our planet for the next generation...

Hopefully will in the near future more and more countries will see the use of recycling and will they provide better recycling solutions to separate waste or garbage collecting services or projects.

What can we do to reduce-our own amount of rest garbage?

We can starting with just normal way by sorting out our garbage so it can be separate collected ( if possible) by the authorities.

Plastic with plastic, metals with metals, empty bateries...and so on. Just bring it to the recycling points, were it belongs. This can be a good start. Next step we can do..is give you some recycling tips.

Here are some

Recycling tips...

Choose for environmental friendly products in shops and super markets.

environment friendly products means:

# not wrapped in several layers of plastic, use plastic foam, or have individually wrapped packages inside of a larger wrapped package.

# Products that have no package, like some fruits...

# When the Package is coming from a natural source ( vegetable)and can be put with the garden #The packages can be re-used ( like glass bottles for instants)

# try to avoid plastic packages, certainly those kind that can't be recycled in any way, and so end with the rest garbage.

In grocery stores, and super markets, ( in the past or are still) giving every costumer a plastic bag to put his purchased into . Now in stead, you can buy a more durable plastic bag. These bags can be re-used for a year or two, maybe even longer. Using a paper bag would be even a better choice . Paper is easy to recycle. Paper is,in contrary to plastic, also environmental friendly,.

Of course, on the other hand, paper is made from wood. So you need to cut down trees to have your paper bags.

Look for packages, boxes, that can be re-used in the kitchen. Even if they are made from plastic, these boxes can be used for storage ( all sorts of food, like rice, pasta,flour.. deep freeze )

Aluminum Boxes , If you can use them, that's good. But , if you can't use them( and that's mostly the case). Put them in the in the bag, box, container for aluminum cans..or bring them to a recycling management center were they know how to storage these kind of stuff better. After all, aluminum stays un-friendly for men or animal and not to forget the environment.....

#aluminum foil: Can't be recycled, and so must go with the rest garbage. But it's very environmental un-friendly.

# All kind of left-overs Cleaning stuff, like household cleaners that you don't use anymore. Never put these with the rest garbage, but bring them to the recycling center in your neighbourhood. Also Batteries ,Mercury from a broken thermometers....

# Old computers and computer screams So, all of these stuff...bring them to your local waste management agency They know how to properly disposing these items.

More recycling tips.....

# Cardboard boxes The cardboard boxes used to ship food to super markets can be put to a variety of other uses once the food has been unpacked. Some super markets put these cardboards on the exit of the store, so clients can put the stuff they've bought into the cardboards boxes and take-them home.

A good alternative for the plastic bags, if you ask me. These cardboard boxes can be collected and recycled, and that's the biggest advantage if you are caring about the environment.

There's a lot more to say about recycling and recycling tips there are lot's more, and I will in the future. But I leave it here by for now. I think I made my point.

Recycling is an important issue for reducing co2 emissions, and so fight climate change.

Maybe you know more recycling tips to share with us. We would greatly appreciated and the readers too.

if you tell us. Preserving Earth is a matter for all of us.
