Natural climate change

Hi and welcome to the "natural climate change " page.

One thing for sure is the climate is constantly changing. This Will go on as long as Earth exist.

Normally, if you cross from the North of the Earth to the Equator and again to the South Pole again, you would think that you would come across many different climate types. But, it's also depending what from where you start.

But in fact, the climate is not only depending of the distance from the poles to the Equator. There are more factors that playing a role in which particular place, what type of climate that it would be . For example. If you Cross the Canada and the US from North to South you would come trough an other type of climate then when you would Cross Europe or , let's say 5000 miles further in

Siberia.

Of-course there are some things that never changes. On the equator it's tropical hot , and on the north pole and South pole is an arctic cold. But between the tropical climate and the arctic climate, the climate can differ a lot, and this is depending of a few natural factors.

The Climate is depending of:

- How far away in land you live, or how close to the sea, ocean. - If there are mountains or not: One side of the mountains get the rains and is a green landscape, the other side its dry and arid landscape.

- Is your country laying in an ocean gulf stream, and brings it cold or warmer water to your coast?

Just a few things that can make a difference in your climate, even when you are living on the same degree of latitude.

Changes in the climate..caused by nature..

Continental drift.

Is one of the reasons of the natural climate change.

In fact, tectonic plates have always been moving and still are. They separate from one an other and they come together again. Of course, this process of natural climate change takes millions of years..and the changes in climate goes very slowly. By this slow process,Animals an wildlife can adapt to the new circumstances and survive.

When the climate is changing too extreme, almost everything disappearing from that particular place. The Antarctica tectonic plate was captive by the antarctic ice. The result was that except for a few species survived( Penguins, robs,) all other fauna, and wildlife has been disappeared

Another example of continental drift is Australia. This continent is moving North East. When it was connected to the African mainland, this continent once was covered with green prairie, and the same vegetation that you find in the UK and Europe.

While the continent was moving up North, vegetation died because of the de and dessert came in stead. Some of the wildlife has adapt to the new circumstances, but others didn't made it. It's hard to imagine how much animals there where walking around on this continent before the climate changed from moderate climate into warm tropical and dessert. Around Lake Eire, the biggest lake in South Australia, it must have been quit busy. In this area, the climate change was devastating for most of the species..

Changes into the oceanic gulf-stream..

The Oceans gulf streams are also responsible for some climate types.

For instants, the water of Caribbean warms-up and start the oceanic gulf stream to the North , where it passed to Ireland and Iceland and cooling down again. Then it streams back to the Caribbeans passing the US coast. This is the reason why the winters are much warmer in Europe and France then they are on the same degree of latitude in New York.

When for some reasons the gulf stream stops or takes other directions, this can have also an influence on the climate, and can disrupt weather and climate in many ways.

Volcanic activity

Volcanoes can also a reason why climate change is happen.

Mud volcanoes are erupting a lot of methane and methane is a greenhouse gas, 20 time higher then co2. So, mud volcanoes can cause an accelerating global warming.

Volcano eruptions , when erupting a lot of ashes into Earth atmosphere, can block the sun of some time, and this can cooling down our planet a few degrees. These climate change happens abrupt and depending of how worse the eruption. The consequences can sometimes continue for two or three years...

Earthquakes,

Strange enough, earthquackes can cause also climate change.

For instants, when they happen below the ocean floor, can cause not only causes tsunami's, but knowing that there are huge quantities of methane gas stocked below the ocean floors. Earth quakes can cause a crack in these spaces, so that the methane gas comes free into Earth atmosphere ( same thing as mud vocanoes). Again, depending of the quantity, this can accelerate the global warming.

Meteorite impact.

This is the nightmare of every living creature. The impact of big meteorite on Earth can block the sun. This is largely depending how big the impact is. There has been impacts on Earth in the past. The natural climate change that has followed on this event is one of the main reasons that dinosaurs not survived. But mammals survived better the severe circumstances caused by such devastating impact.

Variable sun radiation

This caused by heavy sunspot eruption.

Something that isn't measured yet, but we give it through.

some scientist say that these sun eruptions have been responsible for the extinction of some species that have been disappearing in the past. Again, this is only a theory. But, sun radiation does exist. Hopefully we, humans of the planet, won't have to endure or face such things.

Although, we create our own problems, and our own climate change. Hopefully we start to use our common sense, and start to do something about it.

Because most of the Natural climate change is taking a very long time, it all happens without feeling it or knowing it. Of course, sometimes it brings truble and misery on the planet.

But, when humanity has the time to addapt to new surcumstaces, we don't have to worried. Natural climate change is something we can't controle. We can nothing do about it... On the other hand, co2 emissions. That's a point we can work on.

Thanks for your visit. Feel free to re-visit to follow the up-dates...
