Co2 emissions
Hi and welcome to "Co2 emissions" page.
The mayor reason for climate change
and global warming is the combustion of fossil fuels, coal, crude
oil, diesel, petrol, natural gas, and the co2 that's been produced whit the
burning process.
The given data is in fact the amount of co2 produced during the burning
process, when the combusted fossil fuel combines with oxygen.
So, we'll try to give you an idea how much co2 each of these mentioned
fuels emits.
We also give a list with the top ten of-countries and the amount of co2
they are emitting.

Table of conversion
Europe - UK USA
1 kg = 2,204 lb
1 pound (lb) = 0,4536 kg
1 metric ton = 907 kg
1 l = 0,22 gal
1 gal = 4,55 l
1 m3 = 1000 liters
1 cubic foot = 0.0283165 cubic meters
1 cf = 28,31685 L
1 U.S. barrel = 31,5 U.S. gallon
1 barrel = 158,98 L
Co2 emissions annual
The amounts are displayed in Kilogram and Pounds
petrol 1l = 2,331 kg co2
5,252 lbs co2
1 us gallon petrol: 8,824kg co2
17,900lbs
Diesel: 1L = 2,772 kg co2
6,050 lbs
1 Gallon : 10,495kg co2
23,126 lbs
crude oil 1 barrel = 317kg co2
698,565 lbs
coal 1kg gives 1,830 kg co2
4,050 lbs
Natural gas
1000 cf = 28,3 cubic meters
1000 cubic feet = 122 pounds
1 cubic meter natural gas =
Since the number of molecules of ch4 and c02 is the same, then the volumes
of the gases under the same conditions must be the same, and 1 cubic M of
CO2 is produced from 1 cubic M of CH4.
The complete combustion of 1000 cubic feet at STP of natural gas results
in the production of about 122 lb of carbon dioxide.
Who are the Champions when it comes to emit co2 ?
The World total co2 emissions annual is 28,431,741 metric ton
When we take the total amounts of co2 emissions by country, for 2006.
1 China (21,5% ): 6,103,493 metric T or 4,62 P capita
2 United States ( 20,2%): 5,752,289 metric Tor 18,99 per capita
European Union (13,8%): 3,914,359 metric T
3 Russia (5,5%): 1,564,669 metric T or 10,92 per capita
4 India (5,3%): 1,510,351 metric T or 1,31 per capita
5 Japan ( 4,6%) : 1,293,409 metric T or 10,11 per capita
6 Germany ( 2,8%): 805,090 metric T or 9,74 per capita
7 United Kingdom (2%):568,520 or 9,40 per capita
8 Canada (1,9%): 544,680 metric T or 16,72 per capita
9 South Korea (1,7%) : 475,248 metric T or 9,89 per capita
10 Italy (1,7%): 474,148 metric T or 8,06 per capita
